Maine Coons

 

Many cat owners ask me if I have groomed a Maine Coon.  As this is the most popular cat in the UK I now groom more Maine Coons than any other breed. Nine times out of ten this breed of cat is easy to groom notwithstanding its enormous size.

 

The Maine Coon cat is now one of the most popular breeds in the UK. It can be up to 4 times the size of a normal cat and therefore needs a lot of grooming. Because of their size they can quite difficult to groom. Their coats are long and very thick. On the whole the male Maine Coon is generally easier to maintain than the female Maine Coon due to the temperament.

Because of its size a Maine Coon takes longer to groom.

Thank you so much for clipping all those nasty mats from Pebbles. She is a really timid rescue cat but you managed to keep her, and me, as calm as was possible in the situation.

She is racing around the garden very happily now that she can move freely.
